Q Do we require additional hardware to our existing mobile phones to make this work with our people?
A No. So long as you have a GPS enabled Smartphone with Blackberry or Windows Mobile, you simply click on a hyperlink within an SMS that we send you which loads the Smartphone software MyFix to send locations to the web enabled management software TeamFix.

Q What is fitted in the vehicle?
A We recommend that you use a cradle for your safety and ease  
of use with a charging cable from your cigarette lighter for  
maximum accuracy.

Q Can it track the speed of our vehicles when the Smartphone  
is in the car?

A Yes. This is a fundamental feature of Romex, which can show speeds on the web enabled software TeamFix against individual road speed limits.

Q Can it help us to reduce fuel expenditure and if so, how?
A Yes. Ecodrive advise that the most significant factor to ensure  
good fuel economy is to adhere to speed limits and reduce unnecessary mileage. Ecodrive is the fuel management arm of A.D.T. (Advanced Driver Training Ltd.)

Q Does it track our staff when they are not in their vehicles?
A Yes. If staff leave their vehicle with the Smartphone the mobile will show their location every 5 minutes during working hours, although these will not be shown as journeys.

Q What does the law say about tracking our staff? Is it allowed?
A Yes. It is legal to track employees but it is your duty to inform them that this is part of your standard company Human Resources policy.

Q How accurate is the position of the device on your mapping system?
A The accuracy is based on full GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) system which gives sub 5 metre accuracy and speed anywhere in the world, although to follow staff overseas you will need to ensure your Smartphone data bundle covers out of country roaming.
 
Q Is it a live tracking system?
A Yes. The Smartphone sends its position every minute when on charge in the cradle.

Q What happens when the phone is switched off?
A No position will be taken or sent when the Smartphone is turned off, giving staff privacy out of hours and giving you their last working position. For tracking within working hours the Smartphone must be on at all times.
 
Q How do we access the tracking information?
A Simply log on to www.romexworld.net and enter your user name (usually your e-mail address) and password (set by you) and begin to manage your people.

Q How long do we need to sign up for?
A There are various options from 12 months to 5 years, however please ask your sales agent as we can tailor pricing to suit your individual needs.
