Thousands more drivers caught using their phones


INTRODUCTION:

Despite the strict new penalties and police crackdown more than 200 drivers a day (equal to 1 every 7 minutes) have been caught using their mobile phone while driving since March 1 this year.

Even though the new penalties are severe it appears a lot of drivers are incapable of not using their phone while driving. Perhaps many of use have become addicted to it and the temptation is too great!

CONCLUSION:

Isn't it time a technological solution like Romex Driver Protection is introduced?

Drivers can still use their phones legally i.e. hands free but all temptation to read it, touch it, engage with it is removed until the end of the journey. This has to be smarter than just telling drivers to stick their phone in their glove box?
