We are delighted to be sponsoring Brake the Road Safety Charity, who campaign for greater road safety throughout the UK. Every year they run a National Road Safety Week which we are looking forward to getting involved with.
Their Road Safety campaign of course fits in perfectly with our Driver Distraction Module so as well as our sponsorship arrangement, we have agreed to donate a third of the revenue generated back to Brake as part of our community social responsibility policy.
We had a lovely quote from Katie Shephard, Brake’s fundraising director, said: “We are delighted to partner with Romex, an organisation which is incredibly passionate about reducing distractions at the wheel, and are excited about the organisation’s pledge to donate a third of all revenue secured between now and November to Brake. Every year in the UK, families have to suffer the emotional trauma of losing a loved one in a road crash due to the thoughtless actions of drivers talking on a mobile phones. We are looking forward to working with Romex during national Road Safety Week 2013 to engage organisations on the importance of implementing distraction free cultures, to engage drivers on the dangers of using a mobile phone whilst driving, and to help reduce the number of crashes, deaths, and serious injuries taking place every year in the UK.”
